This 19-day tour of Peru has been designed to offer a complete and enriching experience, combining ancient history, stunning natural landscapes, vibrant cultures, and adventure in one of the most diverse destinations in the world.

The trip begins on the country’s southern coast with a visit to the ancient Cantalloc aqueducts, the Paredones archaeological remains, and the pre-Columbian Chauchilla cemetery in Nazca. The tour then continues to Arequipa, known as the «White City,» and the impressive Colca Canyon, home to the majestic Andean condor.

From there, the tour continues to the Puno plateau, sailing past the floating islands of the Uros, Amantaní, and Taquile on Lake Titicaca. The route continues to Cusco through the Southern Valley, exploring temples, traditional markets, and Inca archaeological sites, including Machu Picchu, a World Heritage Site. The experience is complemented by adventure activities in the high jungle, such as mountain biking, rafting, and hiking along the Inca Jungle Trail.

In the final days, the trip culminates with an immersion in the biodiversity of the Peruvian Amazon, visiting the Tambopata National Reserve, home to unique species of flora and fauna. This journey concludes with a cultural gastronomic experience through a traditional Peruvian cooking class in Cusco, leaving travelers with a deep connection to the natural, cultural, and historical essence of Peru.

DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN LIMA – CITY TOUR

Upon arrival in Lima, we will transfer you from the airport to your hotel.

At 12.30 p.m. we will pick you up for a city tour with a duration of four hours approx. We will start the tour visiting the Plaza San Martin and the Jiron de la Union, which is a fascinating boulevard that leads to the Plaza de Armas, the main square.

Next is the San Francisco Monastery, a World Heritage Site. This monastery is known for its Spanish Baroque architecture. Lima’s first cemetery, the Catacombs, is hidden beneath these floors of the monastery.

Our driver will take you to your hotel where you will have the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 2 LIMA – PARACAS -BALLESTAS ISLANDS

Today, after breakfast at your hotel, we will start our trip to Paracas at 5:30 am. Upon arrival we will transfer you to Paracas Bay to take the boat tour to the Ballestas Islands, three small islands full of wildlife just a few minutes from the coast.
On the trip to the islands, we will be able to see the “Candelabro”, a giant candelabra-shaped hieroglyph. When we arrive at the Ballestas Islands, we will stay on the boat while observing the frenzy of amazing animals that include noisy but playful seals and sea lions, as well as an abundance of seabirds, including Humboldt penguins, pelicans, curlews, Inca terns, Peruvian boobies, red-footed cormorants, and guanayes.
After our tour of the islands, we will go to Ica region on the way we will make stop at the winery and vineyards places where we will be able to taste piscos and wines, then we will have lunch and head to Ica.
We will visit the oasis of Huacachina, here we will take a buggy ride on the sand and have a sandboarding adventure, at the end of this activity we will go the hotel in Ica where we spend the night.

DAY 3 OVERFLIGHT NAZCA LINES – AREQUIPA

After breakfast, we will go to Nazca (2 hrs 30 min) then we will arrive to the aerodrome, where we will take a 40 minutes flight over the incredible Nazca Lines. During this flight over the Nazca Lines, we will be able to see the most fascinating figures such as: the monkey, hummingbird, tree, parrot, astronaut, dog, condor and others.
At the end of this activity we will continue our trip going to the aqueducts of cantayoc , Paredones and the cementery of chauchilla , we will eat lunch in one the restaurants in Nazca in the afternoon we will take our bus to Arequipa for approximately 9 to 10 hours observing different landscapes along the way until we arrive at Arequipa

DAY 4 AREQUIPA CITY TOUR – FREE AFTERNOON

In the morning after breakfast, we will continue with your city tour in Arequipa that includes the Plaza de Armas, one of the most beautiful squares in Peru, and the Cathedral, an excellent example of Peruvian architecture of the nineteenth century that houses beautiful treasures in gold and silver.
We also visit the Church “La Compañía” and the old Jesuit temple, one of the most important in Arequipa for its history and tradition with a beautiful facade. Then, we will visit the Convent of Santa Catalina; a “small city” built in the 17th century and opened to the public in 1970, after 400 years of cloister, also we will visit the museum of Santa Maria where we find our pressure and beauty mummy called Juanita, lunch and free afternoon after Night in Arequipa

DAY 5 CHIVAY/ CRUZ DEL CONDOR PUNO

Early in the morning after breakfast we leave for a full day excursion, after 2 hours driving we arrive at the most visited point of Puno. Driving we arrive at the most visited point “Cruz del Condor”, here we will be able to observe the depths and beauty of the deepest canyon in the world. Also here you will enjoy the imposing beauty of nature and observe the emblem of the Colca, the Condor.
We will return to Chivay visiting the different villages and viewpoints of the region of Pinchollo, the viewpoint of Antahuilque, where you can observe pre-Inca tombs, pre-Inca agricultural terraces and learn about the domain of agriculture that our ancestors possessed. . We will also pass through other Colcan villages such as Maca and Yanque.
After lunch we will head to Puno in our transport; city where we will spend the night.

DAY 6: PUNO – UROS / AMANTANI

breakfast at the hotel Early in the morning at 07:45 hrs. approx. Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the port. We will leave for the floating islands of the Uros, where we will visit two islands. We will continue the tour to Amantani Island (estimated travel time 3 hours). Upon arrival in Amantaní, the villagers will welcome us and take us to family homes to make us comfortable, have a rest and have a family lunch. In the afternoon, we will go on a hike to the top of the island to visit the Pachatata and Pachamana temples. (4038m). Then we will return to the assigned homestay for family dinner. DAY 7 TITICACA LAKE- UROS – TAQUILE

Between 7:40 am to 8:00 am we pick you up from your hotel to take you to the port. By motor boat we take you to one of the legendary Taquile Island (3hours ride), where we will tour the ruins and visit the beautiful people, world famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings. After lunch we return to Puno where you will spend the night.

DAY 8 SOUTHERN VALLEY (RUTA DEL SOL) – CUSCO

At 7:00 am we pick you up from your hotel to continue our journey to the city of Cusco by the Route of the Sun or South Valley during the trip we will observe mountains, grazing pampas, alpacas, llamas and also visit archaeological sites such as Pucara, Raqchi, Andahuaylillas and Piquillacta. After a long journey we will arrive in Cusco city.

DAY 9 CUSCO CITY TOUR – FREE AFTERNOON

Once in the city of Cusco after breakfast at your hotel; we will pick you up at your hotel at approximately 9:30 am and visit the city and nearby archaeological sites. The first place to visit is the Cathedral of Cusco, then Qoricancha (temple of the sun). This is one of the best examples of ancient architecture, an Inca temple. Then we go to the Convent of Santo Domingo.
Continuing to the archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman, one of the magnificent buildings of Inca megalithic architectural style that only the gods could allow the construction to achieve such perfection of art. Next Q’enqo, also filled with many mystifying sacred carvings, only to be understood by the ancient Andeans.
Then we visit the walls of Puca Pucara. Finally Tambomachay, the temple dedicated to water, exposes its crystalline water fountains giving us a majestic farewell to return to the city of Cusco. In the afternoon you can enjoy your visit to the city on your own.

DAY 10 SACRED VALLEY VIP

We will pick you up at your hotel at 7:30 am. The first stop is the route of the Sacred Valley of the Incas through Pisac (Pisac), the colonial city.
We will find the indigenous and traditional market, where you can buy handicrafts and souvenirs. After exploring the city, we head towards the archaeological remains of Pisac that are beautifully carved in the highest mountains. Then we continue the tour and appreciate the picturesque towns of Calca and Urubamba where we will enjoy a buffet lunch with traditional stews. In the afternoon we will visit the town of Ollantaytambo and the Inca archaeological site of Ollantaytambo which was inhabited 500 years ago and still remains in quite good condition … Returning to Cusco we will pass through Chinchero, one of the most interesting places in the Andes with plateaus of multicolored crop fields, the chain of snow-capped peaks of the Valley and a beautiful sunset … We will also visit the colonial church housed in an Inca palace and the site museum appreciating the Andean dress before returning to Cusco, arriving around 7 pm.

DAY 11 CUSCO – PISPITAYOC (BIKING & RAFTING)

After breakfast, we will leave the Sacred Valley of the Incas traveling through picturesque villages and beautiful landscapes until reaching the Abra Malaga Mountain (4350m.a.s.l.). We will depart, descending on top scale mountain bikes for 3 hours going through rural villages, rivers, orchards and streams reaching the Huamanmarca Region. Our private bus will take the group to Santa Maria, where we will launch the rafting portion of our trek. Note: Those who did not book the rafting tour will go with an assistant guide on our private bus to Santa Rosa, arriving at the La Choza Eco Lodge, located in the Pispitayoc village. Later, the rafting group will be taken to Santa Rosa and hike to the lodge. We will then have dinner and rest for the night.

DAY 12 PISPITAYOC – SANTA TERESA

After breakfast, we start walking for 2.5 hours along the riverbanks and start ascending into the high forest observing small coffee and cacao plantations and fruit trees among the abundance of flora and fauna. In this area it is possible to see many types of plants, orchids, birds and other wildlife. We witness the mysterious beauty of the high forest, a paradise of biodiversity in the Inca jungle. After arriving at the top of the mountain we will see the entire expansiveness of the Urubamba Valley. After basking in the force of these panoramic views, we descend, arriving at the village Qellomayo where we will have lunch. Afterwards, we will go by bus for about one hour to Lucmabamba and walk up to the Llaqtapata ruins in about 2.5 hours passing and descending for another half hour to the Llaqtapata lodge. Here we will have dinner and sleep at an amazing location with a breath taking view of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu.

DAY 13 SANTA TERESA – HYDROELECTRIC – AGUAS CALIENTES

The next morning, after a good breakfast we start the descent at 8 p.m. for about 1.5 hours to the Ahobamba river where a bus will take us in half an hour to the hot springs near Santa Teresa. We will have some time to relax before walking to the zip lining location which is nearby. After this activity the bus will bring us to Hidroélectrica where we will enjoy our lunch. We can relax here for a while, then we will continue walking along the train track that is leading through this great jungle that the Inca knew by heart to our final destination: Aguas Calientes. We walk for about 3 hours and along the way you will encounter beautiful waterfalls, different Eco farms and possibly wildlife curious of your arrival in the region at 5 p.m. Here the group will spend the night in a hostel. At night we will all get together in a local restaurant to enjoy a great dinner and have a briefing about our next excursion to Machu Picchu. Then you are free to visit the city which is wonderful after sun’s set.

DAY 14 AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

We start hiking early after breakfast with the ambition to marvel at the sunrise from the heights of Machu Picchu. We will have a 2 hour comprehensive tour and afterwards you will have free time to explore the sacred soil in solitary. The passengers who reserved the hiking tour to Huayna Picchu will have a 2.5 hour steep ascension ending in a rewarding view. In the afternoon the group will descend to Aguas Calientes, boarding a train to Ollantaytambo, and ride back to Cusco arriving in the evening.

DAY 15 RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

We will pick you up from your hotel around 4:30 am – 5:30 am and head south through the town of Urcos to the district of Checacupe (2 hours by bus) and then follow the road to Pitumarca where we have breakfast.
Then we continue along the road through hamlets until we reach the community of Hanchipata – Quesiuno (1 hour and 20 minutes by bus), the ideal starting point for the trek. We will see incredible mountains like Ausangate, beautiful blue lagoons and many other natural sites.
The hike to Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain) will take approximately 1 hour and 30 hours. At this peak we will enjoy the view for about an hour taking pictures of the beautiful scenery before descending the trail and returning to our bus.
We will return to Cusipata for lunch and then head back to Cusco

DAY 16 CUSCO – COOKING CLASS

Cooking class stars at 10:00 am , walking to San pedro market to buy all the vegetables and fruits , then we walk to our restaurant where we can prepare our own food, we will prepare , Ceviche , Lomo saltado , pisco sour and chicha morada. We will finish around 14:00 hours , free afternoon to buy suvenirs and then transfer to the Hotel where you spend the night

DAY 17:TAMBOPATA AMAZON RAINFOREST

Early in the morning after breakfast transfer to the airpot , Reception at the airport and transfer to the Monte Amazonico Lodge office for registration. Transfer to the port captaincy where we will take the boat for an hour to our lodge – Welcome meeting with a refreshing juice based on fruits of our region. Installation in our respective rooms. After a refreshing rest, you will have as an introduction a two hour walk in the dense tropical forest, guided by an expert local guide, who will take you through our trails and you will be able to appreciate a variety of trees that can be more than five hundred years old, as well as observe some species of wild animals such as toucans, oropendolas, macaws, monkeys, snakes, butterflies, etc.. You will have the opportunity to experience the magic of our Amazon rainforest which is within the TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE, (278,000 hectares protected). After lunch, we will visit the “Monkey Island”, located in front of our lodge across the Madre de Dios River where we will find different species such as the capuchin monkey family living on the island and return to the lodge. At night we will go in search of white caimans that are usually found on sandbanks in the Madre de Dios River for which it will be necessary to bring a flashlight. Also, we will be able to see the capybara, the largest rodent in the world that can weigh up to 60 kilos, return to the lodge, dinner and rest.

DAY 18:TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE – PUERTO MALDONADO

After breakfast we will walk 3 km in the middle of the dense rainforest and head towards the Sandoval Lake (piranha habitat) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve and paddle boat ride where we will appreciate a variety of birds and monkeys of different species, (shansho, cormorant, jacanas, puma heron, gallinazos, cotomono, monkey friar, black machin, pichicos and sloths). Perhaps we will have an encounter with the family of giant otters (almost two meters long) that is in danger of extinction and the largest caimans registered more than 4 meters long, return to the lodge to enjoy a typical lunch. In the afternoon we will return to the city of Puerto Maldonado where you will spend the night in your respective hotel.

DAY 19: END OF THE TOUR – TRANSFER TO PUERTO MALDONADO AIRPORT

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Puerto Maldonado airport where we will end our services.
